CHAIR YOGA
SEATED YOGA CLASSES IN CHANDLER'S FORD EVERY TUESDAY
In 2022 my mum had her second knee replacement and was prevented from participate in my existing mat based Yoga classes.
Unable to get up and down from the floor easily, there was little option for her to experience Yoga.
Wanting to give my mum Yoga, I started a Chair Yoga Class at Fryern Pavilion in Chandler's Ford in the Summer of 2022.
What to Expect
Even though chairs are used throughout the practice, nothing is lost. We still move through seated asanas, connect movement to the breath and end with a seated relaxation.
Standing poses are adapted to the chair and the whole class can be done seated. Occasionally with the option to stand if desired.
To bring a real sense of Community to this class, there is 45 minutes of Chair Yoga followed by 15 minutes at the end for a cuppa, a biscuit and a chat.
I am so pleased so many people have benefited from Chair Yoga that I have added a second class to my timetable from April 2024.

What to wear
You just need comfortable clothes that you can move in.
Shoes can be kept on if you prefer or you can practice in your socks.
You just need to bring a bottle of water with you to stay hydrated
